Final Project

The final project is the centrepiece of this module (70% of grade). You will build a complete AI system demonstrating your ability to design, implement, and evaluate production-ready AI applications.

Project Ideas

A list of projects will be shared on Canvas. You may select one of the provided topics and outline your strategy in your proposal. If you prefer to pursue your own idea, you must obtain the instructor's permission beforehand via. email.

Projects may be completed individually or in pairs. Your project must demonstrate competency in at least three of:

AI Tools Usage Policy

You may use AI tools for all aspects of the project. However, you are encouraged to complete the work independently, using these tools only as support. The written components will be assessed based on clarity, organization, and the effectiveness of your communication. The majority of your grade will be based on your understanding of the system you build. This will be assessed through proposal and final project demo interviews.

The interviews will assess your understanding of the project. You should be able to answer questions about different components of your system, your design decisions, the results you obtained, and possible alternative approaches.
